I got this Joe Rodeo Classic Watch a month ago and I can't tell you how often people tell me how good it looks. This watch looks manly and brutal. It looks great on my wrist.

I bought this watch as a gift for my husband for our first anniversary and his birthday. He absolutely loves this watch!! he is not the kind of person who says "oh, I like that. Oh wait, that one too". And i am so glad i found this watch. Just what my husband really wanted. This watch is totally worth it. :) I definitely recommend this product to anyone..

Ideal watch diameter in correlation with wrist size?

    Helo friends

I just recently join this forum

I have basic questions about wearing a wristwatch

What is the ideal range of watch diameter, in correlation with our wrist diameter size?

my wrist diameter is 7.5 inch
in term of experience .. how small or how big my watch diameter would look the best for my wrist ?

or my mom with 6,6 inch wrist?

    thank you in advance

Really it comes down to personal taste, some dont wanna wear a watch over 38mm no matter their wrist size, while some with a 6-6.5 inch wrist feel fine wearing a 44mm watch.

With a 7.5 inch wrist, which is similar to mine, I find my max at around 43mm. But there are other things to consider, how large is the bezel (the larger the bezel the smaller it'll look), how tall is it, what is the lug to lug (legnth of the watch, longer=looks bigger).

    What Nick said.

I would add that I have a 7" wrist but big hands XL, so I feel OK with 44mm on a watch with short sleeves, but I prefer 38-42mm for wear with long sleeve dress shirts with cuffs-so they don't get tangled up, and tear up my shirt.

John brought up a good point-last year- in that if the lugs are sticking out over your wrist, it's too big. But over the last 4/5 years, the style of watch is tending to be larger, so that could be a consideration.

For your mom-if she has no preference, I'd say 32-34mm give or take a couple. A lot of ladies styles go for the tiny 22-24 size which some think is hard to read.

I have an 8.5 inch wrist and still prefer 38-42mm.

Nick, thank you for your answer

I know its a matter of taste, I thought maybe there is any reference, about ideal diameter correlate with our wrist size :)

I personally own 3 watch with whole diameter (with bezel) 3,8 - 4,0 cm
with one marina style 4,4 cm

I love them all but my main problems is
the crown in the left side (righty watch) keep poking the back of my palm

but still it look very good

my mom has 2 old quartz, casio and swatch with diameter arround 2,5 cm and she said its a bit too small for her decreasing sight

also she ask for a dial with numbers and day date
    and aluminium bracelet

I want to find a daily watch for her
bigger then 2,5 cm but not too big for her wrist

I gonna find some 32-34 mm for her to try on

hei thank you all for a fast answers

Re: Ideal watch diameter in correlation with wrist size?

My wrist is 7.5" and I have large hands so anything below 40mm looks a bit too small for my tastes. I'm finding more and more that I favor the larger watches (42-46mm) except in winter when they pose a problem with long sleeves.

Re: Ideal watch diameter in correlation with wrist size?

I find its the shape of the wrist that determines the size of the watch. mine is 7 1/4. the top of my wrist is flat so a 44mm watch with a 50mm lug to lug fits very well, the lugs don't overhang the sides of my wrist, and when on a bracelet it conforms without any gaps. my son has the same size wrist, but his is more round. 44mm doesn't work for him. 42mm does though.

Re: Ideal watch diameter in correlation with wrist size?

my wrist is kind of round and chubby

so in almost all my watch (except for the 4,4 mm marina style)

my watch with bracelet seem not attached to my skin
    it keeps rolling down

no matter how I take back

I sometimes must tighten it to skin
    and leaves marks afterward
so the wacths wouldnt keep rolling / moving

the bracelet size is already perfect to match my wrist
i wear watch about 2,5 cm from my radioulnar-carpal joints

any idea how to make it more attached ?

Re: Ideal watch diameter in correlation with wrist size?

My wrist is 6.75" and the biggest watch I have is a 47mm Steinhart Nav B. That is about the max size wise.

The smallest watch I wore was a 37mm Mido Commander. After wearing the Nav B the Commander feels like I'm wearing a dime.
